On Saturday, the diocese will host a Worship Celebration at 10:30 am at the Zembo Shrine Auditorium, Harrisburg.
All are invited, and all are welcome.
A boxed lunch will be provided.
This event is FREE, but pre-registration is required. The doors will open and activities will begin at 9:00 am.
Later in the day, Presiding Bishop Curry will be visiting and spending time with Diocesan Youth.
The Presiding Bishop will learn about our work through Shaped by Faith in a meeting with selected Shaped by Faith leaders from across the diocese. This event is hosted by St. John's Episcopal Church in Bellefonte, PA.
The Union of Black Episcopalians, Nathan D. Baxter, Chapter will host the Presiding Bishop and community leaders by invitation at a reception and dinner.
Later in the evening, he will attend Compline at Saint James, Lancaster, at 7:30 PM, which is open to the public.
The mother church of our diocese, Bangor Episcopal Church in Narvon, PA, will host the Presiding Bishop, as part of Bangor's 300th-anniversary celebration.
Worship begins at 10 am.
Due to restricted seating, tickets will be opened to the public on June 5th, to fill any remaining seats, after the congregation has had the chance to register.
The Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry is the presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church. He was elected in 2015 to a nine-year term in this role, and the animating vision and message of his ministry is Jesus of Nazareth and his model of radical, sacrificial love.
